Membership Criteria

All seed companies authorized by Ministry of National Food Security & Research and registered with Federal Board of Revenue are eligible to apply for membership of Seed Association of Pakistan subject to fulfillment of the requirements laid out in the membership application form and approval by the Central Executive Committee of Seed Association of Pakistan.

Connectivity

Access and opportunities to interact with certified members of Pakistan Seed Industry and avail the networking and trading possibilities with member companies. Exclusive access to technical reports and statistics relevant to the seed trade in the country. Also provides opportunity to take part in exclusive Training Programs/ Workshops/ Seminars and meetings of the seed industry.

Voting Privilege

Each member will get a voting privilege to participate in the elections subject to fulfillment of Seed Association of Pakistan requirements. Also an invitation to attend the Annual General Meetings of the Association and opinionate on policies that shape the Association.

Advocacy

Seed Association of Pakistan works on behalf of its members to support and defend the interests of the Seed Industry in Pakistan. The Association works closely with government on legislative and regulatory issues and help shape seed related legislation and regulations. SAP promotes the sale and trade of certified seed and actively engages with food industry professionals. The Association also engages with farmers and help facilitate purchase of certified seed supplies with the use of the Seed companies’ distributorship system.

Special Access to International Events

SAP is a member of International Seed Federation (ISF), the Asia & Pacific Seed Association (APSA) and ECO Seed Association (ECOSA) and its delegates regularly participate in major international events such as World Seed Congress and Asian Seed Congress. The Association provides its members opportunity to participate theseand other such International Events as a delegate. In many international forums it is prerequisitethat the seed companies have to be a member of their local seed association (e.g. ISF) or may offer reduced rates to members of local seed associations.

Business Development

SAP helps its members with professional business development by arranging educational seminars about seed business which includes latest developments in seed research and technology and policies etc. SAP is also planning to establish its own ISTA Accredited Seed Testing Laboratory for the benefit of its members.
